Street Fighting Years is the eighth studio album by Scottish rock band Simple Minds, released in May 1989 by record label Virgin Records worldwide apart from the US, where it was released by A&M. Produced by Trevor Horn and Stephen Lipson, the album reached the top of the UK Albums Chart.
Stewart Armstrong Copeland (born July 16, 1952) is an American musician and composer. He is best known for his work as the drummer of the English rock band the Police from 1977 to 1986, and again from 2007 to 2008.
Street Fighting Years is the eighth album by Simple Minds, released in 1989. Produced by Trevor Horn and Stephen Lipson, it includes the No1 single ‘Belfast Child’. Release Date: 8th May 1989.
In 1989-08 Sticks Stewart Copeland mentions that Simple Minds asked Stewart for his rhythmic input. He told them to get Mel Gaynor back, which they eventually did. Stewart Copeland only performed some ethno-overdubs.
