8 Answers. Sorted by: 5. Languages in the LISP family (Common Lisp, Guile, et cetera), are extremely extensible--more so than any other language I have ever used. Think of it like the C macro system on steroids. If you were bored enough, you could redefine the + operator as subtraction: now that is extensibility!

2 Reviews. ILY Sep 08 2010. The Oliver Lake Quintet's Expandable Language began with "Expandable Language", displaying a casual and elegant jazz, yet also vibrant and periodically dissonant. "Comous" was more hard hitting: an articulate and flowing synthesis of Bebop and free-jazz. In contrast, "N.S." was assured, calm and classy.
