Formed in Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire, in 1978, the band were originally known as Art Nouveau, a four-piece avant-garde group, with Nick Beggs on bass guitar, Steve Askew on lead guitar, Stuart Croxford Neale on keyboards, and Jez Strode on drums.
Steve Askew was born on 9 December 1957 in Middlesex, London, England, UK. He is an actor, known for Black Mirror: Bandersnatch (2018), The Wedding Singer (1998) and Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance (2011). He is married to Anna Conti. They have two children.
