Jake also taught music in Hollywood at the world-renowned guitar school G.I.T. during this time. In early 2007 Jake joined the legendary Dirty Dozen Brass Band, and still reigns as their guitarist today. The new gig brought him to New Orleans, where he and his family currently live to this day.

As a performer Jake is best known as the lead guitarist for Dirty Dozen Brass Band where he performed countless shows around the world from 2006-2013. Jake played on the 2009 Grammy Awards backing up Allen Toussaint, Lil’ Wayne, Robin Thicke, Terence Blanchard and Dirty Dozen Brass Band.
