Glen Doherty was a security and surveillance contractor working for the CIA, and it was supposed to be his last assignment. He worked for the CIA’s Global Response staff in Libya on September 11, 2012, when the call for help came.

Beginning in 2005, he was deployed to Libya, Israel, Kenya, Afghanistan and Iraq, with his missions including the ’03 rescue of Pfc. Jessica Lynch in Iraq and the rescue of Captain Richard Phillips from Somali pirates in ’09.
Glen Doherty was one of four Americans killed in the terror attack on the US Consulate in Benghazi, Libya on September 11, 2012. Glen was awarded the Congressional Gold Medal for his contributions to our nation. This Foundation is our way to honor Glen’s life and his beliefs. OUR MISSION.
