Xiu Xiu (/ ˈ ʃ uː ʃ uː / SHOO-shoo) is an American experimental rock band, formed in 2002 by singer-songwriter Jamie Stewart in San Jose, California. Currently, the line-up consists of multi-instrumentalists Stewart (the only constant member since formation), Angela Seo, and percussionist David Kendrick.

Xiu Xiu's debut record, released in 2002. Few groups manage to pull together a debut as harrowing and dark, let alone consistent as Xiu Xiu's Knife Play. It's hard to pinpoint a single place where these songs come from since, as with most Xiu Xiu albums, each song tells its own story.
