In 1997-1998, Sobule joined Lloyd Cole's short-lived band The Negatives. [14] In 2004, she played one of the five leads in the film Mind The Gap with six of her songs featured on the soundtrack.
She inducted Neil Diamond into the Songwriter’s Hall of Fame. She has shared billing with Don Henley, Joe Jackson, Warren Zevon, the influential LA punk band X, and Lloyd Cole & The Negatives.

23 de oct. de 2022 · Case in point: the enchanting Jill Sobule, best known for her 1995 hit song “I Kissed a Girl,” and currently starring in the winsome and defiant autobiographical musical “F*ck7thGrade.”
She also contributed to the band’s 2001 release The Negatives. In the meantime, Sobule has continued recording her own music, releasing Pink Pearl in 2000 and doing some new songs for the career retrospective.
