A second TONTO album, It's About Time, was released in 1974. The vocalist Gil Scott-Heron and keyboardist Brian Jackson enlisted Cecil and his T.O.N.T.O. synthesizer for the production of their collaborative album, 1980 (1980). Scott-Heron and Jackson were featured on the album cover with the synthesizer.

"It's About Time" is the most underrated, obscure & unknown album of TONTO's Expanding Head Band by Malcolm Cecil and Robert Margouleff. It is said that some of the tunes of this album were re-released on "Tonto Rides Again" compilation that came out in 1996 on its bonus tracks, though with other names.
