Apostrophe (') is the sixth solo album and eighteenth in total by Frank Zappa, released in March 1974 in both stereo and quadraphonic formats. An edited version of its lead-off track, " Don't Eat the Yellow Snow ", was the first of Zappa's three Billboard Top 100 hits, ultimately peaking at number 86.

Jean-Luc Ponty es un violinista de jazz contemporáneo francés.Nació en la ciudad de Avranches (Francia) el 29 de septiembre de 1942. Se capacitó como violinista profesional en el Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris.Su interés hacia el jazz fue impulsado por la música de Miles Davis y John Coltrane.Ha tocado con la Mahavishnu Orchestra y también con Frank Zappa.
