19 de abr. de 2012 · Carl Tompkins was brought in to replace him in the Main Ingredient, but the chemistry had changed, and not for the better. Gooding left in 1977 for a solo career with Motown that resulted in two albums, and Simmons left the music business altogether and became a stockbroker. The Main Ingredient burned brightly, but not for very long.
