During the early years the Law Department only offered a law degree known as Bachelor of Laws (BL) degree as a part-time post graduate degree course. The BL Degree consisted of a two year course of study. Bachelor of Arts in Law (BA (Law)), Bachelor of Laws (LLB)
The undergraduate programmes are subdivided into three categories: Arts (B.A.), Sciences (B.Sc.), and Law(LL.B). The choice of different fields of learning takes place in upper secondary school where students choose particular subjects directed towards their tertiary education.

Public International law I and II were taught as core courses in third year LLB until 2017-2018 Academic Year.

Geography. The Department of Geography is one of the oldest departments in the University of Yangon. Although it was planned at the University’s foundation in 1920, teaching of geography in the University of Yangon only started in 1924 with Professor Dr. L.D. Stamp.
Our Bachelor of Education (Teaching) programme comprises 360 points of coursework and a 22-week (approx) practicum element where you will spend time observing and teaching in a range of settings. See below for examples. Most students need to take one or two General Education courses.
