Ceoltóirí Chualann (pronounced [ˈcoːl̪ˠt̪ˠoːɾʲiː ˈxuəlˠən̪ˠ]) was an Irish traditional band, led by Seán Ó Riada, which included many of the founding members of The Chieftains.
Ceoltóirí Chualann was the first band of it’s kind and laid down the template which has guided Irish music, in all it’s genres, since. John Kelly was an integral part of this development.
