Pete Comita was a guitarist who joined Cheap Trick in 1980 as a bass player after Tom Petersson left. He played 12-string bass on some songs and toured with the band for a year before quitting.
With Cheap Trick. After original Cheap Trick bassist Tom Petersson left the group in 1980, he was initially replaced by Pete Comita. Comita left the group early in the recording sessions for the album One on One and was replaced by Brant, who moved to the band's hometown of Rockford, Illinois.

Pete Comita. Pete Comita briefly played bass for Cheap Trick after Tom Petersson’s departure in 1980. Although his tenure with the band was short, he contributed to the recording of several tracks, some of which appeared on the album “One on One” (1982).

25 de nov. de 2021 · The band had a new bass player after original member, Tom Petersson left back in 1980. His name was Pete Comita. Well, Pete didn’t last long and was replaced rather quickly during the early recordings of the album. In fact, he doesn’t appear on any of the album. They replaced him with bass player, Jon Brant.
