The band initially consisted of Richard Butler (vocals), Tim Butler (bass guitar), Duncan Kilburn (saxophone), Paul Wilson (drums), and Roger Morris (guitars). By 1979, this line-up had expanded to a sextet with Vince Ely replacing Wilson on drums and John Ashton joining as a second guitarist.

Steve Lillywhite also expressed an interest after hearing President Gas and Forever Now, which were already in the set. The logic shouted at me: “Go with Bowie at all costs. 26 de ago. de 2022 · When the Furs started in London in 1977, Roger Morris played guitar, along with Duncan Kilburn on saxophone and Paul Wilson on drums. They gigged for a couple of years before John Ashton joined as a second guitarist. The 1979 lineup, which remained until 1982, also replaced Wilson with Vince Ely on drums.
