Albert Edwin Condon (November 16, 1905 – August 4, 1973) was an American jazz banjoist, guitarist, and bandleader. A leading figure in Chicago jazz, he also played piano and sang.

Eddie Condon’s closed in the summer of 1967, a couple of months after I arrived in town. I went with him to the club a single time and after it closed he seemed to be largely retired.
