The Dillinger Escape Plan is an American metalcore band. The band was formed in 1997 in Morris Plains, New Jersey by guitarist Ben Weinman, bassist Adam Doll, vocalist Dimitri Minakakis, and drummer Chris Pennie.

Adam Doll is the original bass player for the band The Dillinger Escape Plan. He played on the band's self-titled EP and the Under the Running Board EP. Shortly before the recording of the band's first full-length album, Calculating Infinity, Doll was paralyzed from the armpits down in a car accident, and also lost nearly all of his hand dexterity.
