John Joseph Wardle (born 11 August 1958), [citation needed] known by the stage name Jah Wobble, is an English bass guitarist and singer. He became known to a wider audience as the original bass player in Public Image Ltd (PiL) in the late 1970s and early 1980s; he left the band after two albums.

27 de jun. de 2017 · Originally inspired by dub reggae, Wobble’s trademark low-end bass first found a home with PiL, investing their music with a depth and range more akin to modal jazz – and, as it transpires, the elasticity of the prog rock that informed his youth. “I’m naturally not disciplined,” he says.
Jah Wobble began his musical career at 18 as a founder member of Public Image Limited. His heavy, hypnotic bass lines defined the post punk era and have influenced many musicians over the last 30 odd years.
