Hinder is an American rock band from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, formed in 2001 by lead singer Austin John Winkler, guitarist Joe "Blower" Garvey, and drummer Cody Hanson with bassist Mike Rodden and guitarist Mark King joining in 2003, solidifying the line-up.

Michael James Rodden (April 24, 1891 – January 11, 1978) was a Canadian sports journalist, National Hockey League referee, and Canadian football coach, and was the first person elected to both the Hockey Hall of Fame (1962) and the Canadian Football Hall of Fame (1964).
Mike Rodden is best known as the bassist for the Oklahoma City-based rock group Hinder. Rodden first got into playing music during his high-school years, initially playing the guitar and getting smitten by the bass a few years later.

We had a chance to sit down with Mike Rodden and Joe “Blower” Garvey and talk about the upcoming tour and look back on their 20 plus years in the business.
Mike Rodden Bass, vocals 2003- Nolan Neal Lead vocals 2014-2015. Marshal Dutton Lead vocals 2015- Hinder is best known for their hit " Lips Of An Angel ," a song about struggling to move on from an ex, from their debut album, Extreme Behavior.
