Bob Skeat – Ashdown Engineering. Bob has played bass in Wishbone Ash for 20 years now. Before and during that time he has played with the likes of Gilbert O'Sullivan, Toyah Willcox, Colin Blunstone, Princess Stephanie of Monaco, Russ Ballard and many other artists.
Bassist Bob Skeat, a 25 year veteran of the band, drives the rhythm section along with Mike Truscott, one of the best of Britain’s new breed of drummers. Wishbone Ash, the quintessential road band, is an acknowledged influence on many other bands including Thin Lizzy and Iron Maiden along with younger bands like Opeth.
In 1997, Filgate, Kishman, and Sturgis departed, so Powell brought former drummer Weston back into the fold, along with new members guitarist Mark Birch and bassist Bob Skeat. Wishbone Ash then went on to release two electronic dance albums on UK indie label Invisible Hands Music.

Formed in October 1969, the group originally included bassist and lead vocalist Martin Turner, guitarists and vocalists Andy Powell and Ted Turner, and drummer Steve Upton. [1] The band currently consists of Powell, alongside bassist Bob Skeat (since 1997), guitarist Mark Abrahams (since 2017) and drummer Mike Truscott (since 2022).
