Bonnie Raitt. Bonnie Lynn Raitt ( / reɪt /; [1] born November 8, 1949) is an American blues rock singer, guitarist, and songwriter. In 1971, Raitt released her self-titled debut album. Following this, she released a series of critically acclaimed roots -influenced albums that incorporated elements of blues, rock, folk, and country.
On 1995’s Everybody’s Gettin’ Some, famous guests Bonnie Raitt and Carlos Santana repaid him their debt of influence. The next year Junior made Come On In This House with a host of slide guitarists. The release won the W.C. Handy Blues Award for ‘Traditional Blues Album of the Year’ in 1997.
