During the writing process of We Are The Lazer Viking, percussionist Jeremy Gewertz replaced Christopher Abbott, and synth player, Kat Paffett was added. The six person line-up heightened the creative potential of the group and eventually culminated in the Ace Fu Records 2003 release, We Are The Lazer Viking.

Lyrics for the title song were written in 2017 by vocalist Edward B. Gieda III and his late wife, Amanda Medina, to whom the EP is lovingly devoted in memory.
