I used to think this too, but it’s not true. I’ve grown to realize that anyone who says you’re “too quiet” is generally pretty self-absorbed and has no understanding/patience for anyone who isn’t super loud and blurting out every thought.

I think at the time she didn't realise I was actually anxiously feeling like I needed to say something, but it helped me realise I don't have to feel that way. It was such a relief and so refreshing to feel comfortable just sitting quietly with someone.
