Between 1989 and 1998, the band released four studio albums and numerous EPs and singles despite a considerable flux of members, managers, and record labels. By 1993 the band's lineup had settled with Franklin on vocals/guitar, Hartridge on guitar, Jez Hindmarsh on drums, and Steve George on bass.
In 1993, Swervedriver re-emerged with the core of Adam Franklin and Jimmy Hartridge, along with newly recruited drummer Jez Hindmarsh (a.k.a. "Jez"), and released Mezcal Head.
4 de abr. de 2018 · “We put word out to try and find a drummer and came across Jez Hindmarsh. His drumming style was quite different to Graham's – he's much more a ‘Keith Moon falling down stairs’ drum style. We didn't manage to find a bass player in time, so me and Jimmy figured we could do it.
Then in late 1992, Franklin and Hartridge demoed a new tune Duress, recruited drummer Jez Hindmarsh and set about recording a second full-length album Mezcal Head with Alan Moulder (My Bloody Valentine/Led Zeppelin), which included their biggest singles Duel and Last Train To Satansville.
18 de ene. de 2024 · There were two drummers in line – one of whom had a Ford Mustang, the other didn’t – Jez Hindmarsh didn’t have the Ford Mustang, but he ended up getting the gig. We didn’t get a bass player in time so we covered the bass ourselves.
8 de oct. de 1991 · Help arrived soon after in the form of loquacious, manic drummer Jez Hindmarsh. Hindmarsh had just split from another EMI band and turned up at the demo studio to audition.
