Katherine Thomas (born June 6, 1966), best known by her stage name The Great Kat, is an American guitarist and singer best known for her thrash metal interpretations of well-known pieces of classical music. Most feature her using the electric guitar, but on some she uses the violin.

The fifth and final of the Kat EP series, Wagner’s War opens with Kat’s take on Wagner’s famous “Ride of the Valkyries” theme. This version is markedly different than the one that appeared on Digital Beethoven on Cyberspeed, but oddly enough, cannot really be considered better or worse.
