Greg Osby continues to carve his way into an ever-changing jazz scene that wants to grow but doesn't yet know which roads to follow.

  7. O’s Notes: The core band is a quartet led by Osby (sax) with Jason Moran (p), Scott Cooley (b) and Marlon Browden (d). They intertwine with strings to get a unique orchestral sound. The program is mainly new compositions from Osby written to stimulate improvisation over central dark themes.
