The NeverEnding Story (German: Die unendliche Geschichte) is a West German-produced English language epic fantasy film series based on the 1979 novel of the same name by Michael Ende. The original 1984 film, The NeverEnding Story, was directed and co-written by Wolfgang Petersen and was later followed by two sequels.

The NeverEnding Story is originally a 1979 fantasy novel by German author Michael Ende, with the first English translation put out in 1983. The better-known version of the work is the 1984 film The NeverEnding Story from which it was adapted.
23 de mar. de 2024 · The Neverending Story remake was announced in March 2024, with the news that the project will be a reboot of the original as a multi-film franchise. The remake will be co-produced by See-Saw Films and Michael Ende Productions, and the producers will include Iain Canning, Emile Sherman, Roman Hocke, and Ralph Gassmann.
