Jez Lowe. UK. Three-time BBC Folk Award nominee, with 30 albums during his 40 year career, Jez Lowe is one of the busiest performers in the UK. His songs have been covered by scores of other artists, including Fairport Convention, Dubliners, Unthanks, Young Uns, Wizz Jones, Megson, Cherish The Ladies, Mary Black, The Duhks & many more.
This double CD album of 23 tracks (counting ‘Introductions’) was recorded at the Biddick Arts Centre, Washington, Tyne and Wear, popularly known as The Davy Lamp. Nearly all of these tracks were written by Lowe, except ‘The New Moon’s Arms’ and ‘You Can’t Take It With You’, written jointly with Bev Sanders.
