The Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts is the world's oldest theatre arts training school. It grew out of the first production of the play that was to become a children's classic "Where The Rainbow Ends".
Italia Conti (1873-1946) was an English actress of Italian descent and the founder of the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts in London. She trained many famous actors, such as Gertrude Lawrence, and survived the bombing of her school during World War II.
