Martin Hadden is a British chef, who won a Michelin star at both Ockenden Manor and The Priory House. He was the winner of the Roux Scholarship in 1989, and after leaving the kitchen at the Priory House in 2003 he went on to become Executive Chef for the Historic Sussex Hotels group.

Martin Hadden, otherwise known as Mame, would become the symbol of the band's conflicts and achievements. Purists would tirade that it was not "traditional" to incorporate electric bass in Celtic music.
By the time they released their first album, Silly Wizard in 1976, the band had become a sextet, including Andy M Stewart, a singer and songwriter with the tradition in his soul, and bass guitar powerhouse Martin Hadden, and were touring regularly throughout the UK and Europe.
