Reach for It is a studio album by the American keyboardist and record producer George Duke. It was recorded at Paramount Recording Studios in Los Angeles, California , and released in 1977 through Epic Records .
Leon "Ndugu" Chancler (/ ɪ n ˈ d uː ɡ uː ˈ tʃ æ n s l ər / in-DOO-goo CHANSS-lər; July 1, 1952 – February 3, 2018) was an American pop, funk, and jazz drummer. He was also a composer, producer, and university professor.
"Reach For It" became the hit from this record. It broke out of Washington DC and Detroit before the rest of the nation. We were on tour when the record hit, and were amazed at seeing the record moving to the top of the R&B chart.
