Intercity rail. The Toledo and Ohio Central Railroad Station (1895) is the last remaining station building in Columbus. Public transit began in Columbus with the creation of its first train station, the first Union Station. The station was located in Downtown Columbus, Ohio, near The Short North neighborhood.
