Wesley Curley Clark (November 16, 1939 – March 2, 2024) was an American blues musician. He is known as the "Godfather of Austin Blues" [1] for his influence on the Austin , Texas blues scene since the late 1960s.

Despite the tragic loss of his fiancée and drummer in a devastating accident in 1997, Clark's resilience shone through, with the release of "Lover's Plea" and the poignant single "Are You Here, Are You There?" in memory of his lost loved ones.
In 2011, his album 'Were You There?' was his first release in seven years, and he was seen regularly in Austin, especially at The Saxon Pub. The ‘Godfather of Austin Blues’ W. C. Clark passed away on Saturday, March 2nd 2024.
