David Francis Baerwald (born July 11, 1960) is an American singer-songwriter, composer, and musician.
The Rumour is an album released by Olivia Newton-John in August 1988. The title track was written by Elton John and Bernie Taupin, features backing vocals and piano by John, and was a Number One single in Finland.
Inspired by the lives of the author’s own grandfather and father, The Fire Agent centers on a Japan-based, German Jewish director of the IG Farben chemical company who becomes an American spy and his son, a U.S. Army intelligence officer in Tokyo during the post-World War II American occupation.

Collectively, the three essentially serve as a new Baerwald album, although there’s no evidence that it will be released as such. Hellbound Train and Reckless Boy are both available on Spotify and Amazon, however.
