Akokan is the sixth studio album by Cuban jazz pianist Roberto Fonseca. It was released in 2009 by Enja Records. The album's title means "from the heart" in the Yoruba language. Recorded in 2008 in the EGREM studio in Havana, it is a tribute to Rubén González and Ibrahim Ferrer. The album was well received by critics.

A finales del 2008 Roberto Fonseca entro en los míticos estudios Egrem de La Habana para grabar su segundo disco en solitario AKOKAN (Corazón en Yoruba) que fue lanzado por Enja Records en Mayo del 2009.
At the end of 2008, Roberto Fonseca entered the mythical Egrem Studies in Havana, in order to record his second solo album AKOKAN (“from the heart” in Yoruba language), it was released by Enja in May 2009.
