Maurice William Elias (December 23, 1936 – September 9, 2016), known professionally as James Stacy, was an American film and television actor who starred in the late 1960s TV western Lancer. In 1973, Stacy was hit by a drunk driver while riding his motorcycle, resulting in his left leg being severed.

As a teen, Stacy first aspired to play professional football but settled on a career in the movies after a friend coaxed him into taking some acting classes.
James Stacy was an actor who appeared in films and TV shows such as Lancer, Cagney & Lacey and Posse. He lost his left arm and leg in a motorcycle accident, was married twice and had a daughter, and faced legal troubles in his later years.
