He's accompanied by Laurie Stirratt on bass and Frank Coutch on drums; both contribute on vocals. Husband and wife Hudson and Stirratt harmonize well together. Also writing one song, "Myrna Lee," and doing guitar duty on the track is Laurie's brother John Stirratt, taking a break from his Wilco duties.
John Chadwick Stirratt [1] is an American bassist and multi-instrumentalist for Wilco [2] and The Autumn Defense . Early career. Stirratt grew up in Mandeville, Louisiana. He attended Mandeville High School and the University of Mississippi, and is a member of Phi Kappa Tau fraternity.
The disc features the first songs that Stirratt, one of the band's vocalists and guitarists (and, coincidentally, sister of Wilco bassist John Stirratt), ever committed to disc. And the band will journey to Europe for the first time in hopes of enlarging their core group of listeners.
