Into the Unknown is the only Bad Religion album to feature Paul Dedona on bass and Davy Goldman on drums. Dedona was ejected from the band before their next recording and replaced by Tim Gallegos, while former drummer Pete Finestone returned to the band in 1986.

Paul Dedona, born April 24, 1960 in Sherman Oaks, California, was Bad Religion's bass player from late 1982 until early 1984. Before he joined Bad Religion, Paul already played bass in a theatrical act called Max Crystal, which got a little press in the early eighties.
