Spearheaded by guitarist Chieli Minucci and co-founded by the late percussionist George Jinda (whose untimely passing came in 2001) in 1983, Special EFX helped to pave the road for contemporary jazz during its early years in the 80s and they continue to set the standard.

Chieli has written and recorded the soundtrack for the smash hit Themestar stage production of the long-running British kid’s TV show, Thomas & Friends Live! – Thomas Saves The Day! Composed background music, since 1997, for As The World Turns, and Another World, scoring over 400 individual cues.
