16 de abr. de 2022 · Taking their name from the two detectives in the cartoon adventures of Tinin (Thompson and Thompson, who were not twins!) Tom Bailey (B.1954), Peter Dodd, John Roog and Jon Podgorski spent many years floating about and playing in bars and clubs.
Tom Bailey on bass and vocals, Pete Dodd on guitar and vocals, John Roog on guitar, and Jon Podgorski (known as “Pod”) on drums comprised the original Thompson Twins lineup in 1977. Dodd and Roog met for the first time when they were both thirteen years old.
In 1977, the original Thompson Twins line-up consisted of Tom Bailey (born 18 January 1954, Halifax, West Yorkshire) on bass guitar and vocals, Pete Dodd on guitar and vocals, John Roog on guitar, and Jon Podgorski (known as "Pod") on drums.

Bailey formed Thompson Twins in 1977 with Pete Dodd (guitar and vocals), John Roog (guitar), and Jon Podgorski (drums). Podgorski did not want to move to London, so Andrew Edge played drums with them for one year before Chris Bell joined. [1]
