In the decade since their previous album, the band's lineup changed considerably, and for this album, consisted of Jeremy Wrenn (guitars and vocals), Andrew Marrah (guitar), Spencer Kiss (drums) and Matt Blanton (bass).
Established in 2007, Chicago based New Canyons are Andrew Marrah and Adam Stilson. Born from the frustration of keeping a four-piece rock band together, the duo sought refuge by utilizing drum machines and synthesizers in their music — birthing a new soundscape entirely.
