Una cura significa que el cáncer ha desaparecido con el tratamiento y que no se requiere de tratamiento adicional aunado que no se tiene la expectativa de que el cáncer vaya a regresar. Es poco común que un médico pueda asegurar que el cáncer nunca regresará. En la mayoría de los casos toma tiempo el poder determinar si el cáncer podría regresar.
