23 de mar. de 2022 · by Geoff Stanfield. Guitarist Michael Belfer passed away March 20, 2022 from a series of compounding health issues. He was a friend and my bandmate in Black Lab back in the late ’90s. His unique playing and sound was an influence on players such as Sonic Youth’s Thurston Moore and Johnny Ramone.
Michael Belfer returned to college and graduated in composition and cultural studies. He played guitar and keyboards in Black Lab from 1996 to 1999. Michael Belfer died on March 20, 2022. Williams went on to handle vocals in Toiling Midgets, and later died of a heroin overdose at the age of 36 in 1992.

20 de oct. de 2020 · Michael Belfer is probably still best known as the guitarist for SF punk legends The Sleepers. With singer Ricky Williams, drummer Tim Mooney and bassist Paul Draper, they released the groundbreaking Seventh World EP in 1978. Belfer also played guitar with Tuxedomoon in 1978-79.
