By age eight, he had started making short films. He attended the Dutch Film Academy in Amsterdam where he received great acclaim for his student film Gabriel's Surprise.
Harald Zwart is a Dutch-Norwegian filmmaker who has directed and produced movies such as The Karate Kid, The 12th Man, and Troll. He also makes commercials, TV shows, and music videos, and has worked with Steven Spielberg and Will Smith.
