The curriculum, at St Ivo Academy, is defined as ‘the knowledge, skills and values that students are expected to learn, the units and lessons that are taught, the planned sequence of instruction, the resources used to support teaching, and the assessments used to evaluate learning’.
The school is judged to require improvement in overall effectiveness, behaviour and attitudes, personal development and leadership and management. The quality of education and sixth-form provision are good, but the school needs to improve its systems and provision for safeguarding, bullying and PHSE.
