Strung-Out Troubadours is the musical duo of Rik Emmett (of Canadian rock band Triumph) and Dave Dunlop. The pair regularly perform live shows together. Most of the songs are performed on acoustic guitars without vocals, with Emmett singing lead vocal on some selections.

As a result of positive audience response to their dual guitar work in live shows, Emmett and guitarist Dave Dunlop formed the duo Strung-Out Troubadours. In 2007, they won 'Album of the Year' and 'Group/Duo of the Year' at the Canadian Smooth Jazz Awards, where they were the most heavily nominated act.

In the last decade, Rik has also worked extensively with guitarist Dave Dunlop in a duo called Strung-Out Troubadours, (later shortened to just ‘Troubs’) and with drummer / vocalist Mike Shotton, in a prog-rock recording project they called ‘Airtime’.
Emmett and Dunlop followed their acclaimed duo release, Strung-Out Troubadours, with a live CD. A sold out show in Toronto.
