Tatsu and Junji contacted the previous singer Hideki, and they decided on a reunion, joined by new guitar player Ikuma Kawabe (ex-DHIDALAH) in late May 2012.With this new line-up, they started writing and recording the new record, and completed it on January 26, 2013.

Following its release, prior vocalist Negishi rejoined, lasting until 2011, while Sutton was replaced first by Kensuke Suto and then by Ikuma Kawabe. Fukasawa rejoined on vocals for their fourth album, Thy Kingdom Scum (2013). In 2014, Church of Misery toured Europe three times, the first being a support slot for Monster Magnet.
Church Of Misery A cult Japanese band ever since their debut in 1998, Church Of Misery combine raw St. Vitus-styled doom with lyrics devoted to well-known (and not-so-well known) serial killers (Gacy, Gein, Dahmer, others). Taste The Pain also features a nice cover of "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida". For those into the real slow, ultra-heavy stuff Electric Wizard, Sleep, etc), this is a great band.
