Seán McGinley (born March 1, 1956) is an Irish actor. He has appeared in about 80 films and television series. Early life. McGinley was born in Pettigo, County Donegal, where his father was a customs officer, and raised in nearby Ballyshannon.

Biography. Sean McGinly was born in Philadelphia and raised in a Northern Virginia. He graduated from Villanova University with a degree in Philosophy and went on to USC Film School where he received his MFA in Film Production. Sean’s script, Two Days was a Nicholl Fellowship Semifinalist.
I am the Sean McGinly who wrote and directed the film, The Great Buck Howard, which starred John Malkovich and Colin Hanks. I also directed a documentary film called Brothers: Stories of 9/11 . And I made a few other films you can read more about in my bio. My most recent film is called Match.
