Wayfarer is an album by the Jan Garbarek Group recorded in March 1983 and released on ECM September that year. The quartet features guitarist Bill Frisell and rhythm section Eberhard Weber and Michael Di Pasqua.

In the saxophonist’s own words, he said that he was lost when Frisell decided to return to the States. Together they produced a creative synergy that is both inspired and inspiring.

William Richard Frisell (born March 18, 1951) is an American jazz guitarist. He first came to prominence at ECM Records in the 1980s, as both a session player and a leader. [2] He went on to work in a variety of contexts, notably as a participant in the Downtown Scene in New York City, where he formed a long working relationship with composer and saxophonist John Zorn . [3]
