  7. PANORAMA was initially inspired by a drawing of a mountain range nearby Zug, hometown of the pianist Hildegard Kleeb and the trombonist Roland Dahinden, to whom the piece is dedicated. Lucier transferred the ridge line of the mountain range to the trombone part of the piece.
