Laurence Mark Wisefield (born 27 August 1952) is an English guitarist and vocalist, best known for his contributions to Wishbone Ash during the 1970s and 1980s. Early career. Prior to his stint in Wishbone Ash, Wisefield performed with the progressive rock band, Home.
Following the departure of original member Ted Turner, Laurie Wisefield joined Wishbone Ash in May 1974. Laurie was born in East London on August 27th 1953 and began playing guitar at the age of eight, when his grandfather bought him a £6 Unicorn acoustic.
Home were a British progressive rock band, active in the early 1970s. The core line up featured Mick Stubbs on lead guitar and lead vocals, Laurie Wisefield on lead guitar and vocals, Cliff Williams on bass guitar and vocals, and Mick Cook on drums. They also had two keyboardists during their existence.
